Report on “Blood Donation Camp” held on 29th January 2019
Vivekananda
Kendra BORL Hospital conducted a “BLOOD DONATION” camp on 29th
January 2019 on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. All the doctors and staff
participated voluntarily in the camp. In total, 48 units of blood were collected.
Residents of BORL Township and people of surrounding area of refinery showed
enthusiastic participation in the same. The Camp started at 11.00 a.m. and went
up to 03:00 p.m. The camp was jointly organized by “VK BORL Hospital, Bina"
and “District Blood Bank, Vidisha” in the hospital campus under the supervision
of Dr Deepak Pradhan, Consultant Surgeon.
Chief
guest Shri Vishvas Saxena, Vice President-HR (BORL) lighten the ceremonial lamp
and encouraged the youth of BORL and
surrounding area for active Participation in such a noble cause. On this occasion,
Dr Subrat Adhikary, Medical Superintendent said one unit blood can save lives
of four needy people.
During
the blood donation process the hemoglobin content and other health condition of
the participants were checked before donating the blood. The camp was organized
in a very disciplined manner checking each and every aspect of participant’s
health.
